You walk in, you see a nice little lobby with a desk to the side. A smiling receptionist takes your dog through a swinging door and then... What? There's a lot of mystery behind that door. Where do the dogs go? How are they washed? Let us take you on a brief, informative tour of our salon. With pictures!
You may notice in the lobby a small window. You are always welcome to look through this window and watch our groomers at work! After the dogs are washed and dried, they are placed on these tables for grooming. The tables themselves can be raised or lowered depending on the size of the dog. The dogs are secured so that they don't fall. We also give them lots of love as we go back and forth and while grooming.
Another feature you'll see in our lobby is our bandanna trees. Bandannas are included with each groom if you would like. We also offer flowers to be put on the collars, feathers to be fastened on their ears, and bows that can also be fastened to their ears.
Our bandannas are cut and hemmed by Cris Wilson, so a big thank you to her! We offer a variety of colors and and patterns, including seasonal and holiday styles. We proudly offer American Flag patterns year-round.
Beyond the grooming lobby is our kennel area. Our kennels are kept very clean and are all very roomy. Within each kennel is a padded mat and a bowl of water. Dogs that do not belong to the same family are not permitted to mingle. This helps to maintain safety and contributes to the calm atmosphere of the salon.
In the very back of our salon is the bathing and drying area. Here we have two tubs, one higher and one lower for bigger dogs. Our bathers use warm water and high-quality shampoos and conditioners on the dogs, including oatmeal-based and hypoallergenic for when the occasion calls for it. Once the dogs are washed and rinsed, we use high-velocity blow dryers to fluff dry them. This is part of what makes them so soft when you pick them up. Once they are dried, they are returned to the kennels with a kennel dryer until a groomer is able to begin grooming them.
And there you have it! Thanks for taking the time to check out our salon!
