Katie Stamatelos - Owner/Master Stylist

My name is Angela 'Katie' Stamatelos. My family moved to Colorado in 1994. I graduated high school in Buena Vista, Colorado, then went on to college at UNC in Greeley, Colorado. I moved to Colorado Springs in 2001 and groomed my first dog and also continued college courses through PPCC.  I have been grooming,  over 18 years.

I LOVE WHAT I DO. Most of all, I love to serve and to see other people be of service to the community.

Although we are in the business of grooming, our goal is to make every client (whether human or animal) FEEL loved and respected as they should be every day. I am full of sincere integrity, and hold true to very respectful morals and values.

-- I have always felt a need to serve and know how wonderful it feels to help others. I have known hard times, times of poverty, times of grief, times of desperation, struggle, sadness....but most of all, times of triumph, tears of joy, and reminders that we serve a very real and faithful GOD.

My grandfather was in the Navy and fought in WWII, my uncle was in the Army and fought in Vietnam, my brother served in our Navy and my husband  did 4 tours to Iraq and Afghanistan fighting in the current war. I have a VERY special place in my heart for our military men and women!! We offer a military discount ANY DAY OF THE YEAR. In addition to that, we offer first time client discounts, multiple dog discounts, and senior discounts.

My family is in the business of loving God and loving others. We strive hard to do the right thing, always.

We want to help the community and those who support us in any way we can, therefore it is equally important to us to hire a staff fully capable of understanding our hearts to serve.

We are so proud to introduce the below listed staff. All staff members go through a long hiring process and rigorous drug testing. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for serving as a team with us.

"Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy"

Courtney - Salon Executive

I have always wanted to be a dog groomer ever since I was a little girl. I would read books about different breeds and dream about showing dogs. I have two dogs of my own; Nikita, a 4-year-old red and white Malamute, and Annabelle, a 5-year-old mini pinscher, Jack Russel, and chihuahua mix. I was born and raised here in Colorado and I love the mountains and the outdoors. In my free time I like to hike and do wood working with my husband.

Rakalynn - Groomer/ Lead

I've always had a huge heart for animals! Honestly I never thought I'd work at a salon, but here I am doing what I love most. I love every single dog that walks into our salon. A lot of the time when no one has seen me in awhile, it is because I'm in the kennels loving on the dogs! I have two puppy dogs, one is named Simba and he is a German Shepherd/ Border Collie mix. The other one is named Orien and he is a Boston Terrier! I'm more than grateful to be part of your sweet and wonderful dog's life!

Michelle - Groomer/ Lead

I moved to Manitou from South Dakota about a year ago. I have three fur babies of my own, two cats and a chihuahua, Max. I graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science. When I moved here I originally had hopes to work in a wildlife habitat. But now I simply aspire to be happy and work with animals.

Samantha - Groomer
Samantha grew up in Colorado and has traveled all over the United States. She has over 10 years of experience in the grooming field and has groomed in New York, Florida, and California. Mary Jane is her precious miniature dachshund and travel companion. She loves all animals, but has a special place in her heart for terriers.

Callista - Front Desk- Active Duty
Callista is now actively serving over seas in an imminent danger zone and we pray for her safe return and thank her with every single piece of our hearts.

A native Coloradan, animals have been an everyday part of my life. I'm currently enrolled at UCCS getting my Bachelor's degree in Geography and Environmental Sciences. I am also serving in the Colorado National Guard. I'm excited to be working at Serenity Paws and to be a part of a team of people who love animals as much as I do!

Victoria - Grooming Apprentice/ Lead
I lived in Colorado most of my life. I'm an only child so I grew up with multiple pets throughout my life. I love all animals, especially cats! I'm currently in the process of getting my degree. I'm a huge nerd who loves to watch anime as well as doing cosplay and going to comic/anime conventions!
Natanja- Bather/ Grooming Apprentice
Serenity Paws has given me the opportunity to express the love and passion I have for dogs. Its rare to find a job that gets you excited to go to every day. The chance to grow and learn this business will give me the opportunity to show my kids that you can find a place to work that doesn't feel like work!
