Bot Fly Season

There are all kinds of pests that come out in the Summer and Fall months. One such pest is the bot fly.

Bot flies like to land on your dog and use them to house their young.

Bot fly larvae may present themself as a bumpy bug bite on your dog's side, back, or belly. If they are far enough along, you may even see the bump moving a bit.

We recommend that you have a vet remove these pests when you notice it. If it is an easy removal and we notice it here in the shop, we may remove it for you, but we do still recommend going to the vet.

Unfortunately, there isn't really a way to prevent bot flies from landing on your dog.

Video coming soon.
