Spear Grass

Spear grass is a spiky plant that you might encounter just about anywhere. The tips of the grass can get caught in your dog's fur, causing irritation and even lacerations. It is most dangerous when it gets dry and the tips break off more easily.

If you are walking your dog around various types of grasses and the like, we suggest you check your dog for tag-alongs in their fur or between their toes.
