🐾WHY THE MEMBERSHIP MATTERS 🐾
MORE THAN A GROOMING MEMBERSHIP
A Commitment to Safety, Wellness, Accountability, and a Higher Standard of Care
At Serenity Paws, we believe exceptional animal care requires more than grooming skills and quality products. It requires qualified professionals, sound judgment, a safe and sanitary environment, consistent oversight, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
Our membership model was intentionally developed to maintain these standards while offering families valuable benefits, consistent care, and flexible service options.
We believe the quality of care your companion receives should be reflected in every aspect of our operation—not just the finished groom.
WHY DO I HAVE A MEMBERSHIP IF I STILL PAY FOR GROOMING?
This is one of the most common questions we receive, and one we believe deserves a clear answer.
Your grooming fee pays for the service your pet receives. Your membership helps sustain the professional standards, safety practices, qualified personnel, and specialized environment that make that service possible.
Rather than relying solely on individual grooming fees to cover the increasing costs of operating a higher-standard facility, our membership model helps us maintain consistent operational investments while providing participating families with additional savings and benefits.
Your membership helps us:
-
Maintain a safety-sensitive workplace: Support random employee drug testing, fit-for-duty standards, impairment prevention, and professional accountability.
-
Invest in qualified professionals: Provide competitive wages, continuing education, professional certifications, and advanced animal behavior and safety training.
-
Provide individualized attention: Employ additional support staff to assist with anxious, senior, special-needs, and behaviorally sensitive companions.
-
Uphold exceptional sanitation: Maintain rigorous cleaning and disinfecting procedures, clean towels and bedding, proper ventilation, and temperature monitoring.
-
Invest in specialized equipment: Maintain professional bathing and drying systems, hearing protection, facility improvements, and equipment designed to support safe, comfortable care.
-
Encourage preventive wellness: Help families maintain consistent grooming schedules that support healthier skin, coats, ears, nails, and overall comfort.
These are not simply added conveniences. They are deliberate investments in the safety, quality, and consistency of the care we provide.
We believe you should be able to see and feel the difference in our facility, our team, and your companion's experience.
A SAFETY-SENSITIVE WORKPLACE: DRUG TESTING & FITNESS FOR DUTY
Because the People Caring for Your Pet Matter Just as Much as the Care They Provide.
At Serenity Paws, animal care is a position of trust and responsibility. The safety of your companion depends on the awareness, judgment, physical readiness, and professional conduct of the people entrusted with their care.
That is why Serenity Paws operates as a safety-sensitive employer with established employee drug-testing and fit-for-duty requirements.
Our workplace safety standards include:
-
Random employee drug testing as part of our commitment to a responsible, safety-conscious workplace.
-
Fit-for-duty requirements to ensure employees are capable of safely performing their assigned responsibilities.
-
Impairment prevention and accountability through clear expectations regarding employee conduct, workplace readiness, and professional responsibility.
-
Ongoing safety and animal behavior education to reinforce proper handling, situational awareness, and responsible decision-making.
-
Established safety procedures and oversight to reduce preventable risks and protect both animals and employees.
Animals depend entirely on the people handling them. A moment of impaired judgment, inattention, or unsafe decision-making can have serious consequences.
We take that responsibility seriously.
Maintaining these standards requires financial investment, administrative oversight, and consistent accountability. Our membership program helps support these safeguards as part of our everyday operations.
Your companion cannot choose who cares for them. You can. We believe you deserve to know the standards behind the people you trust.
WHY ROUTINE GROOMING MATTERS
We strongly recommend grooming approximately every 4–6 weeks, depending on your companion's breed, coat type, age, health, and individual needs.
Consistent grooming is an important part of preventive wellness and responsible pet ownership. Regular visits allow pets to become familiar with our team, their surroundings, and the grooming process.
Routine care helps:
-
Build familiarity and trust while reducing fear, anxiety, and stress over time.
-
Make grooming appointments more predictable, efficient, and comfortable.
-
Prevent painful matting, overgrown nails, and coat-related discomfort.
-
Allow regular observation of skin, ears, coat, nails, and changes in physical condition.
-
Establish positive handling experiences and stronger relationships with the grooming team.
-
Identify potential concerns early so families can seek appropriate veterinary attention.
Infrequent grooming can make necessary care more difficult, particularly for pets with dense coats, special handling needs, or limited grooming experience.
Routine creates familiarity. Familiarity builds trust. Trust supports safety.
THE VALUE OF ADDITIONAL SUPPORT STAFF
One of our most important investments is in the professionals whose responsibilities extend beyond bathing and grooming.
Our support team provides additional supervision and individualized assistance throughout the facility, including:
-
Comforting and supervising anxious or overwhelmed pets.
-
Providing appropriate breaks and outdoor potty walks.
-
Monitoring kennel and holding areas.
-
Managing excessive barking and environmental overstimulation.
-
Assisting senior pets and companions with special needs.
-
Supporting safe handling, movement, and transitions.
-
Helping families who need additional assistance during arrival or departure.
Our commitment to a low-barking, lower-stress environment is intentional. Excessive noise, unnecessary stimulation, and rushed handling can negatively affect an animal's comfort and behavior.
Additional staffing allows us to accommodate individual needs rather than expecting every pet to tolerate the same environment, pace, or handling approach.
Individualized attention requires additional personnel, time, training, and resources. Our membership model helps us sustain that level of care.
CLEANLINESS, EQUIPMENT & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
A clean facility is not simply a matter of appearance. It is a fundamental responsibility in animal care.
Serenity Paws invests in medical-grade cleanliness and sanitation practices, professional equipment, ventilation, temperature monitoring, and ongoing facility maintenance.
Our operational priorities include:
-
Consistent cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting procedures.
-
Clean towels, bedding, and properly maintained grooming equipment.
-
Appropriate ventilation, air quality, and temperature management.
-
Professional bathing and drying systems designed for animal comfort and safety.
-
Continuing education, animal behavior awareness, and responsible handling practices.
-
Facility improvements that support the safety and well-being of animals and employees.
These practices are designed to reduce preventable risks and maintain a professional environment for the companions entrusted to us.
Higher standards are not an occasional upgrade. They are part of how we operate every day.
